I. General Rules
Character Limitations
You may only have one character unless you purchase other slots in the store. We limit the amount of characters you may have in order to prevent an overflow! Currently, the max amount of characters you can have is 8. Members may only make a new character after a one month cooldown period. If an official opening occurs, there is no cooldown period, and a member may try out for it and win a tryout even if they are currently in their one month cooldown period for a recent new character. Character Origin
Characters cannot be from any clans. They may only be from the four cities. You can only be a descendant from the city you are born in! There are no loners or rouges on this island, so therefore it’s impossible to be a descendant of one. Tryout Rules
We don’t allow sibling try-outs for this roleplay group, so please keep that in mind! The only way to have siblings is through being in an IC litter or winning a kitten tryout. We don’t allow any extended family members in this group either. |
Accessories
Your character may have any accessory, as long as it is obtainable and realistic! It is required that you open a ticket and show the admins your accessory and explain how they found it or received it, to receive admin approval before putting it in game. We do not allow any feather accessories to be placed anywhere on the head. Character Rules
Your characters may not be based off of any ooc characters. Which means you may not make your feline be someone from a show, books, movies, or anything else. Submission Rules
You must use the designated applications for the group's characters, otherwise your character may be rejected! We offer PSD files and PNG files of the applications, so there should be no restrictions. If there are, contact an admin to find an alternative solution! |
II. Name requirements
Naming
These felines reside in a Norse Icelandic world, and they all have Nordic Based names. Some other languages we’ll allow for naming would be: old Scandinavian, old Irish, old Swedish, old Icelandic, old Faroese, old Danish, or any old North Germanic language! If you have any naming concerns, message an admin via Discord. Name Restrictions
Characters with the same name are not allowed! However, you can have the same name as an NPC or historical figure in their society (such as a god or goddess or previous leaders). |
Intentions
Do not use names that have either a sexual or foul meaning. Make sure to include what the name means in English if it has one. Hereditary Names
When joining through a kitten-tryout, if the parents of said tryout require specific names, ensure you are following their naming system; do not create other nicknames or change their name without the parents permission if it strays from the original name! |
III. appeArance rules
Designs
These characters may only have semi-realistic designs. Bright, unrealistic rainbow pelt colors or neon eye colors are not allowed. We also require that you follow the design-guides based on the city you are joining. However, it’s understandable to want to have some uniqueness or freedom to a design, so we’ll try and work with you! Design Changes
Once you have submitted your character and it has been approved, you may not make any design changes unless they’re minimal, or have been approved. You can always double-check with the admins for this. Character Bans
Your character may not have heterochromia, albinism/melanism, abnormal heights, or disabilities unless they purchased a ban from the shop. However, anything not listed in the shop can be applied to your character! This group doesn't limit mutations or characteristics unless it's important to our plot and world. If you have an inquiry regarding a mutation/abnormality that you'd like to use, feel free to ask! |
Pure-Breds
These cats aren’t allowed due to the world, but you can have your character look exactly like that pure-bred! The term doesn't exist here, nor is it sought after. Height Requirements
Make sure to double check the height charts, so you know what’s allowed and what’s not for each city; as every city has its own height requirements. Design Requirements
Your character’s eye colors should match the city it resides in. This is incredibly important for the plot of this group! If you’re unsure what eye-colors go where, check the city design journals. At the moment, any form of heterochromia is not obtainable. If you’re joining as a kitten, your kitten must look like the parents and be genetically possible, otherwise they will be rejected. Please follow your parents designs for designing (however you may also use their grandparents, aunts, uncles, anyone in the family tree). |
IV. CHARACTER DEATH RULES
Event Death
If a character dies during an event because of situational circumstances and not pre-planned by the player, the player is given the option to make a new orphan 1-cycle old character in the same city as the character that has died. This character can come in at any time. Coins from the event itself are counted and added to the original character's bank, and half of that character's coins go to the bank of the new character. |
Player Requested Death
If a player chooses to kill their character, the player cannot make a new character, and must wait for a new opening to tryout with a new character. All player-willed deaths must be approved beforehand, and some deaths may require a plot purchase depending on the circumstances of the character's death. Half of that character's coins can go to the bank of an existing character. |
