currency
Bifrosts uses a form of currency called coins. This is earned through group activity, such as submitting art or roleplays. This EXP has several uses including purchasing bans, plot items, and other items in the coin shop. You can find out how many coins you have in the Discord Navigation tab! Which will take you to the Bifrosts Character Megasheet. From that point, it will lead you to a Google Sheets with the first page being called the Index Page. Just click on your name, and it will take you straight to your character, where it lists all of the information you need to know. Such as SP's, Items, Family Ties, Rank, Coins, Age, etc.

- Bifrosts Staff holds the right to refuse acceptance to a purchase, especially if it is a ailment that may hinder the character's development or well-being, as we will ensure that those roles are played sensitively and accurately. While we may be playing as fictional cat characters, it's important to remember to not feed into negative, harmful stereotypes.

GENETIC MUTATIONS
━━━━━━»»•••««━━━━━━
All items listed below must be discussed in a ticket first before purchase. Genetic mutations do not take up a slot.
Vitiligo
100 C Is a genetic disorder that causes loss of skin or fur color in patches, which get bigger over time. Four Ears
400 C This feature is associated with a recessive mutation that results in four ear flaps (additional flaps do not lead to additional organs of hearing).
Melanism
100 C A genetic condition that refers to the increased amount of black pigment, melanin, in the skin, hair, feathers, etc. Melanistic animals are completely and totally black; including their nose, fur, skin, claws, etc. Sphinx
400 C Sphinx Cats are hairless in nature, lacking all or most of their fur. With a wedge-shaped head and prominent cheek-bones, large lemon-shaped eyes, large ears, thicker paw pads, and a whip like tail. Sphinx cats have a variety of health problems, and need to keep up with their bodies regularly. Ears, skin, toes, nails, and skin flaps need to be maintained regularly to prevent infection from over-growth and dirt accumulation. They also have a history of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and congenital myasthenic syndrome. Essentially, sphinx cats are more prone to heart disease, muscle weakness, fatigue, head bobbing, and scapulae protrusion.

Abnormally Small
200 C This mutation allows your character to be abnormally small, which expands outside of your cities guidelines. Abnormally small characters do not have any health problems, but they may have some limitations in their abilities; such as jumping, running, swimming, climbing, etc. Abnormally small characters may have a more difficult time keeping up with their peers, and have less stamina.
Abnormally Large
200 C This mutation allows your character to be abnormally large, which expands outside of your cities guidelines. Abnormally large characters do not have any health problems. In fact, being abnormally large may come with a significant advantage; such as being faster and stronger than your peers.
Lykoi
400 C The Lykoi have a gene that is unique to the breed that causes not only the roan pattern (an intermix of normal color hair with white hair), but also the pattern balding of the hair coat. Kittens are born with a normal coat and look the same as any other normal kitten. They have no balding or roan coloration. The ears and nose are always hairless, there is roaning in the coat, and the feet are sparsely haired. These characteristics do not change no matter the extremity of the molt. Contrary to popular belief, Lykoi cats have little to no health problems because of their breed; despite their lack of fur. The only health-conditions that would be relevant to this breed would be sun-sensitivity, heat-sensitivity, and cold-sensitivity.

BANS
━━━━━━»»•••««━━━━━━
All items listed below must be discussed in a ticket first before purchase. Bans may be declined of approval in order to ensure the condition or ailment is played correctly and sensitively, as well as ensuring it does not contribute to negative, harmful stereotypes. All Bans have disadvantages placed upon them in order to portray them correctly.
Albinism
300 C Is a unique condition that affects the pelt and skin coloring, as well as eye-sight. Albinism is a genetic disorder characterized by little or no melanin production; often resulting in white fur, and pink or blue eyes. In Bifrosts, the characters will have pink or blue pupils, as their eye colors are determined by the city they have joined. Cats with Albinism may have a lazy eye, and will have vision problems + light sensitivity.
Syndactyly
100 C Paw changes in syndactyle cats can include abnormal or absent digits, abnormal shape, fusion or absence of digital pads, and abnormal shape or fusion of nails. Radiographic changes can include complete or incomplete fusion of phalanges and metatarsal or metacarpal bones. Feline complex syndactyly causes minimal to no discomfort and reported patients affected with this condition have presented without lameness.
Minskin
500 C The Minskin is a breed of cat derived from a hybrid cross-breeding between the Munchkin and Burmese cat breeds, with the addition of Sphynx and Devon Rex. The Minskin is short-legged with a very short coat. It is described as having a small to medium-sized semi-cobby muscular body, a rounded head, large ears that are wide at the base, a short broad muzzle with prominent whisker pads and eyes that are large and round, spaced well apart, giving them an open and alert expression. Their fur is a sparse coat, which is more dense on their outer extremities, giving them a unique coat description of "fur-points" that define the mask, ears, legs and tail, with a more sparsely coated cashmere-like torso. Due to their lack of fur and size, they have similar health problems to Munchkins and Hairless or Lykoi cats.
Polycaudal
300 C Apart from arousing suspicion among superstitious individuals, the two-tailed trait has not been shown to be disadvantageous. Most cats examined had full control over both tails and could work them in unison, but not independently i.e. both tails were raised, lowered or waved at the same time, but the cat could not raise one while waving the other. Many tails that are categorized as polycaudal are actually just split at the end of the tail. If a cat were to have two whole separate tails it would injure the orientation of their spine.
|
Polydactyl
100 C The primary symptom is the presence of the extra phalangeal growth on one or more paws. The extra digits can vary in size and structure. Because these digits can consist of only soft tissues or they may be inappropriately connected to bone structures, polydactyly cats can be more prone to injury. Sometimes, they can experience lameness and infections. If there is a fusion of extra toes at birth, this can also result in irregular growth and painful abnormalities. Polydactyly cats may also experience nail bed infections and irregular nail growth.
Munchkin
500 C The Munchkin has similar characteristics to normal domestic cats, due to their frequent use as outcrosses. It is a small to medium-sized cat with a moderate body type and medium-plush coat. The hind legs can be slightly longer than the front which creates a slight rise from the shoulder to the rump. The legs of the Munchkin may be slightly bowed, although excessive bowing is a disqualification in the show ring. Cow-hocked legs are also penalized. The genetic mutation causing the short-legged trait in Munchkins is often referred to as achondroplasia, with the genetic disorder resulting in dwarfism that is typically associated with an enlarged head as well as short legs. Several conditions appear within the munchkin breed, such as lordosis (excessive curvature of the spine) and pectus excavatum (hollowed chest). Munchkin cats are known to be at a higher risk for sever osteoarthritis because of the shorter limbs.
Heterochromia
1,000 C This means that your character can have heterochromia of their city colors. This can be any form of heterochromia, but they will be treated according to the state of the world. Heterochromia is taboo in this realm; seen as cursed, and traitorous. It is often assumed that your bloodline is contaminated, and that two cities mixed in your ancestry. Being born with heterochromia often results in the removal of the cursed eye by the guardian, ensuring that the rest of the city is unaware of the kits condition. If removal is not an option, the character will have to hide their mutation for their entire lives. Those born with heterochromia who are discovered are always discriminated against, with their families blood-line tarnished. They and their family will never be allowed to have a partner or offspring, and will always be lesser than their peers. They will be treated as easily disposable, one wrong move from the character can result in death.
Anisocoria
400 C This condition refers to when one pupil is bigger than the other. As the pupils control dilation in response to light, having two pupils of different sizes can result in eye pain, loss of vision, blurry vision, double vision, and light sensitivity. Depending on what is causing the anisocoria, there may be no symptoms at all. There are both temporary and permanent forms of anisocoria, and someone may be born with it or receive it as a result of traumatic brain injury, migraines, seizures, infections, tumors, and trauma to blood vessels. It can be a non life-threatening condition, or it may be a symptom of an underlying lethal condition.

Deaf
600 C Some cats are born partially or completely deaf because of a genetic defect; this is called congenital deafness. In most cases of congenital deafness, the deafness is pigment related, and most of these cats have an all-white or mostly white haircoat.
Partial Deafness
400 C Some cats are born partially deaf, or may be injured to the point of partial deafness. Hearing loss may affect balance of the feline.
Mute
600 C This ban allows your character to be born mute or injured to the point of muteness. Complete or partial muteness may not be caused by anxiety disorders and must be caused by physical damage. Twisted Jaw
500 C A broken, twisted jaw can typically occur from major blunt force trauma. This can cause the fragile lower jaw or more sturdy upper jaw to fracture, which can cause a small hair-line crack or be as devastating as a severe bone shatter. The feline may have swelling, or their entire mouth may hang open. Mouth swelling, reluctance or refusal to eat, excessive drooling, jaw misalignment, or inability to open or close the mouth are all symptoms of a fractured jaw. Soft foods will be required for consumption, as the jaw will be unable to open and close on it's own, resulting in an inability to chew.
|
Blind
600 C This ban allows your character to be born blind or injured to the point of blindness. Felines who are blind will often rely on their sense of smell and hearing, resulting in an enhancement of hearing, smell, and touch.
Partial Blindness
400 C This ban allows your character to be born blind or injured to the point of blindness in one eye.
Partial Muteness
400 C This ban allows your character to be injured to the point of partial muteness. Complete or partial muteness may not be caused by anxiety disorders and must be caused by physical damage. Broken Spine
800 C A broken spine is a rare spontaneous injury formed from the result of trauma. Sometimes blunt force trauma, or falling damage. In some cases, a broken spine may cause an inability to move or use the felines back legs. Resulting in no control over bowel movements, no feeling in the hind legs, fluid excess in lungs, and a struggle to move. If the feline does not continuously exercise, the fluid could build up in their lungs and result in suffocation.
Missing/Permanently Broken Limb
200 C There are situations where a character has been injured to the point of losing a limb, or having a limb be permanently broken and unable to be used effectively. Difficulty in managing it is often a case-by-case situation, but in general these cats may struggle to be as swift and fast as their peers, have slower reflexes, and have issues with balance and body awareness, as well as phantom pain in missing limbs and chronic pain for those with permanently broken limbs.
