Character statistics
Each player's character will have five different statistics: Strength, Constitution, Dexterity, Wisdom, and Intelligence. These six statistics determine how easy or how difficult it is to complete an action, and will translate into modifiers for action dice-rolls. These statistics will scale with a characters age and learning progression in this world. Charisma is no longer a player-determined statistic, and is now influenced by the character's reputation.
A character's statistics will determine a character's ability to perform various tasks during events and public or private roleplays.

Character City REQUIREMENTS
Your character's city will determine what statistic requirements a character may begin with, which is determined by a city's strength and core attributes as a culture. Each character will start with boosts in their city.

Player's characters will naturally gain more statistics as they age. Bifrost's team will allow players to choose where those statistics will be distributed as each milestone is reached.
Statistic Points (SP) may not exceed the maximum determined for each age group. City boosts and Class boosts do take up the total of SP allowed to each age bracket. So a kitten has a total of 8 SP total, but 4 are given by the City Boosts and another 4 are decided by the player.

Adult Base Statistics
20 - 69 Cycles Amount: 24 SP Max in a category: 10 (+5) HP: 25 + 10 for every CON point AC: DEX + 10 Adults get to pick 2 SP. Rank bonuses are automatically applied:

CLASS statistic REQUIREMENTS
Each class in each city will have a unique boost applied to their characters at two stages in their lives, Specialized Novice and Adulthood.
The Healing Class
Specialized novices, +2 Wisdom and +2 Intelligence Adults, +4 Wisdom and +2 Intelligence
The Fighting Class
Specialised novices, +2 Strength and +2 Constitution. Adults, +4 Strength and +2 Constitution.
The Teaching Class
Specialised novices, +2 Intelligence and +2 Wisdom Adults, +4 Intelligence and +2 Wisdom.

Specialised novices, +2 Dexterity and +2 Wisdom Adults, +4 Dexterity and +2 Wisdom.
The Hunting Class
Specialised novices, +2 Constitution and +2 Dexterity Adults, +4 Constitution and +2 Dexterity.

Modifiers
When participating in a skill check, players will add modifiers to their dice rolls to the boost's that align with their character's statistics. This determines a character's ability in completing a task based on their statistics values.
As a result, rolls are determined as follows:
- Dice Roll + Modifier = Ability Check
In Bifrosts, modifiers are determined by dividing your total SP value by 2, and rounding down:

REPUTATION
Bifrosts runs off of a reputation system, displaying how a character is treated or viewed in their city, and affecting their charisma. All characters start with 50 reputation, which results in a +0 modifier in charisma.
Reputation can be gained or lost through a characters actions. By participating in npc quests or plots, npc interactions, or personal plots.
For example, a positive interaction could result in +5 reputation, while a negative interaction could result in -5 reputation. However, the amount of reputation a character receives or loses will be determined by the weight of their actions.
A character can have as low as 0 charisma and as high as 100 charisma.

At a certain reputation, your character may start to be considered for high-ranking roles and gain privileged treatment from others- conversely, if their reputation is low enough, they may start to be ostracized, demoted, and physically punished by citymates up to and including lethal means. The following is a general overview of how characters within certain reputation bands are treated.
Status
0
Hybrids & prisoners, one wrong move will result in immediate lethal punishment or exile. 10-20
Extremely poor status, these cats are disrespected and used as fodder for various purposes, and often must feed and shelter themselves. 30-40
Typical starting reputation of cursed or ill-born cats, it is a poor status resulting in some ostracizing and disrespect from others. 50
Neutral status, this is the starting reputation of the average cat, and they are treated no better nor any worse than their peers. 60
Good reputation, these cats are relied on by their peers and are entrusted with more responsibility than others. 70
Great reputation, these cats are given important tasks and missions and have access to better materials and food. This is the reputation at which a Laguz cat can be considered to become a Gold rank. 80
Amazing reputation, those who have reached this level are considered for Lead positions in their respective cities and enjoy high esteem and respect from peers as well as access to better materials and food. 90
These cats are beyond upstanding citizens, they are fantastic citizens. These cats are deeply respected and esteemed by all of their city, and only those with this level of status can be considered for the Second-in-Command type roles in their cities, such as the Laguz Will or the Eldur Fire. It is also the typical reputation for Stormr Heirs. 100
The shining example of their city, a cat with this level of status is a living legend in history. Leaders of the cities have this reputation: Laguz Voice, Eldur Phoenix, Forseti Council, and Stormr Monarch. |
